. Moving away from the neat and simple design of the previous model, the J-Cruise II pursues a more modern and sophisticated shell design. By thoroughly examining details such as the revised sun visor operating mechanism, a more compact shell has been achieved compared to the previous model. In addition, the distinctive shape of the back of the head is a design result of pursuing aerodynamic performance, and the shell shape functions as an aero device, acting as a spoiler.
・Ventilation System
The upper air intake has one more intake hole, increasing the amount of air drawn into the helmet by 30% compared to the previous model. In addition, various parts shapes were tested for the top outlet to determine the shape with the highest exhaust efficiency. As a result, while the number of outlet holes is the same as the previous model, the exhaust volume has improved by more than 20%.
・Shield System
The J-Cruise II is also equipped with the CJ-2 shield, which boasts a clear field of view with minimal distortion. The rib at the bottom edge of the shield increases rigidity and minimizes wind turbulence. The window beading (window rubber) has been replaced with an airtight sealing system that offers superior durability as well as airtightness, compared to the conventional double-lip structure. This achieves excellent sealing performance.
• QSV-2 Sun Visor
: To reduce sunlight intrusion from the lower part of the shield, the J-Cruise II uses the QSV-2 sun visor, which is 5 mm longer than the previous model. Because the sun visor is longer, the distance to the nose when using it is closer than with the QSV-1, so the nose cut shape is deeper than the QSV-1 to avoid interference with the nose.
• Interior:
The interior surface fabric uses a hybrid of moisture-wicking and quick-drying HYGRA™ fabric and brushed fabric. Moisture-wicking and quick-drying fabric is used in areas prone to sweating, such as the forehead and cheeks, while brushed fabric is placed near the opening of the helmet where it rubs against the skin when putting on or taking off the helmet, improving comfort and achieving an optimal fit.
